Custom Orthotics and Pedorthic Services
A custom made orthotic is a device made specifically for your foot through specific measurements and casting.
It is easily transferred between different supportive footwear. It supports the structures of the foot to help correct issues arising from malalignments, as well as preventing problems that may present themselves down the road.
Orthotics are primarily used to help support the structures of the foot to decrease and eliminate various symptoms and conditions. Some orthotics are fabricated to correct fallen or malaligned structures, while others are fabricated to accommodate more rigid bony structures that are bearing too much weight. With both types, the goal is to decrease overall pain, and let injured areas heal while bearing minimal stress.
There are many conditions that an Orthotic can help with.
These are a few of the most common reasons a patient will seek the help of a Pedorthist:
Plantar Fasciitis
Metatarsal Pain (including dropped metatarsal heads, Mortons neuroma,
capsulitis and fat pad atrophy)
Bunion pain
Hallux valgus and Hallux limitus/rigidus
cross over toes, hammer toes, claw toes, mallet toes
Achielles tendonopathy
Severs disease
Osgood Schlatters disease
Foot and Knee Osteoarthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis
